News, September

It's been a busy month. Michael Farah has just been hired on as producer at funnyordie, the top comedy website founded and run by Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Judd Apatow. They're keeping him incredibly busy producing shorts featuring all sorts of fun comedians and celebrities, and Michael is loving every second of it.

Almost as exciting, it turns out that Europe loves Dirty Jay. (Who can blame them?) Specifically Britain, and the mega networking site Bebo.com. Bebo has decided to relaunch Dirty Jay, rack up about a billion hits and then make a zillion dollars (approximately) from all the new advertisers. Even more important, we got to shoot a fun new promo making fun of the Queen of England. Check it out at www.bebo.com/dirtyj.

Last but not least, 3, 4 Women just finished work on a ground-breaking new video of beat poet Elliot Goldfarb's (aka, "The Wicked Shadow") brilliant ode to Kettle Chips, among other products. Starring the hilarious Hal Rudnick, it will soon be out to buyers.

News, August

This month, 3,4 Women has updates on projects just completed, those nearing completions, and those completed long ago. Kind of like a Dickens play.

WEINBACH WUNDERKIND: Created by one of our favorite comedians, Brent Weinbach, and produced by 3,4 Women, the much anticipated series “Weinbach in Wonderland” just premiered on SuperDeluxe. In it, Brent plays himself in scenes re-enacted from the flory days of his youth. And by “glory,” we mean “traumatizing.”

BIG HITS: Thanks to the magic of the internet, two of our old favorites contunue to dominate. The Dirty Jay series is about to reach 2 million total views, and Young Hillary Clinton is right at 1 million. Thanks, America! And Denmark, Botswana, Luxembourg and al the other countries that are watching!

THAT'S RIGHT, TOM ARNOLD: The 3,4 Women-produced series “Overkill”--starring Tom Arnold and Allison Munn--just finished its principal photography and is sure to be a smash success for 60Frames. We're also in the process of sending “Gian-Carlo Gian-Carlo” and a new project “Beard Team USA” out to buyers and agents.

IN MEMORIAM

We're sad to note the passing of a wonderful friend to 3,4 Women Productions, Tom Pura, who passed away unexpectedly last week at the age of 54. Tom was a great guy who, aside from having a lovely family and being an all-around brilliant financial guru, also was kind enough to let us use his tennis court to shoot “Gian-Carlo Gian-Carlo.” That experience led to a strong relationship with him, and we--read, Tyler Gillett--were also editing his fantastic documentary about junior tennis, “50,000 Balls.” We will miss him.

News, Early July

Continuing our fruitful relationship with 60Frames, we're producing two new web series for them: “The Quest for the Golden Hot Dog,” an epic adventure created by Michael Busch and starring the comics of the Upright Citicens Brigade, currently in post-production. And “Overkill: A Love Story,” created by Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia, well-known TV and feature writers of “That 70's Show,” “The Simpsons, ” and the upcoming movie “The Tooth Fairy,” starring none other than The Rock. “Overkill” is currently in pre-production.

The premiere of our spoof of “The Strangers”--“The Stangers 2: The Hammered”--on FunnyOrDie. This was our first project with comedian Matt Braunger, who just won Best of Fest at the Aspen Comedy Festival. We had a great time and are looking forward to creating much more hilarity with him in the near future. Incidentally, it also stars Mageina Tovah, who played the cute girl Peter Parker should've dumped Mary Jane for in “Spiderman 2.” You were a fool, Spidey!
